In honor of the holiday “April 23 — National Book Day,” applications are now being accepted for the “National Book Competition,” announced by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Akimat of the city of Astana.

Applications are accepted until April 1, 2026.

Legal entities whose books have been published within the last two years are eligible to participate in the competition.

Competition categories:
• Best Children’s Book
• Best Comic Book
• Best Non-Fiction Book
• Best Detective Book
• Best Satirical Book
• Best Illustrated Book
• Best Translated Book
• Best Science Fiction Book
• Best Publishing House
• Grand Prix — Book of the Year
