One of Asia’s largest international book forums — the Beijing International Book Fair (BIBF) — successfully concluded on June 17–21, 2026.
The exhibition covered a total area of 60,000 square meters and brought together more than 1,700 participants from 82 countries and regions worldwide. Leading representatives of the global publishing industry and internationally renowned publishing houses gathered on a single platform to showcase new publications and innovative projects.
This year, Kazakhstan participated in the fair for the first time with a dedicated national stand, presenting nearly 100 domestic books and publishing products. During the exhibition, outstanding examples of Kazakh literature were introduced to international readers and publishing professionals, while a series of meetings aimed at strengthening international cooperation were also held.
Presentations of books by Kazakh authors were organized, creating opportunities for the exchange of international experience in publishing, book trade, and copyright protection.
Participation in the Beijing International Book Fair made a significant contribution to promoting Kazakhstan’s publishing products in the global market, enhancing the international reputation of national literature, and establishing new partnership opportunities.
