As part of the event, Askat Kusayinovich Baiuzakov, Director of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, paid an official working visit to the Republic of Belarus, where he participated in activities aimed at strengthening international cooperation and exchanging professional experience in the fields of publishing and book affairs.

    During the visit, Mr. Baiuzakov became thoroughly acquainted with the activities of Belarus's publishing and book sector. He also visited the National Library of Belarus and the Belarus Book Chamber, where he learned about their key areas of work, document preservation systems, and scientific and bibliographic activities.

    During the meetings, the collection of the Belarus Book Chamber, which contains more than six million printed publications, was presented. The collection includes books, periodicals, dissertation abstracts, dissertations, and other printed materials preserved for long-term storage. Particular attention was given to the institution's compliance with international preservation standards, climate-controlled storage facilities, and modern technologies used for cataloguing, archiving, and preserving printed publications.

    The parties also exchanged views on preserving book heritage, developing the national bibliography, maintaining the national register of printed publications, and strengthening international cooperation. The visit included a number of important meetings that provided an opportunity to study the extensive experience of the Belarus Book Chamber and identify promising areas for further cooperation between the book chambers of the two countries.
