**The Finance and Economics Department** is a structural unit of the institution responsible for organizing financial and economic activities, maintaining accounting records and financial reporting, as well as ensuring the targeted and efficient use of budgetary funds.
In its activities, the department is guided by the budgetary and tax legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, legislation on accounting and financial reporting, as well as other regulatory legal acts.
### Main tasks and functions of the department:
* Establishing and maintaining an accounting system in accordance with the requirements of accounting, tax, statistical, and management reporting;
* Ensuring the implementation of budget programs and expenditure estimates, and controlling the validity and legality of incurred expenses;
* Organizing the accounting of assets, liabilities, fixed assets, inventory, and other institutional assets;
* Determining and analyzing the financial results of activities;
* Ensuring the timely and full payment of taxes and other mandatory payments to the budget, social contributions, and other obligatory payments;
* Planning the wage fund and controlling its expenditure, ensuring the correctness of payroll calculations and other payments to employees;
* Monitoring compliance with financial and cash discipline;
* Organizing and participating in inventory checks;
* Preparing reports on budget execution, financial statements, and statistical reports, and submitting them to authorized bodies in accordance with established procedures;
* Ensuring the safekeeping of accounting documents and their transfer to the archive;
* Coordinating the appointment, dismissal, and transfer of financially responsible persons, and conducting instructions on accounting and asset preservation;
* Participating in meetings held by the head of the institution on financial and economic matters.
Within its competence, the department ensures the financial stability of the institution, minimizes financial risks, and ensures compliance with applicable legislation.
