The new chairman of the Language Policy Committee of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kaba Adilbek Kuneskhanovich met with employees of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Scientific and Practical Center "Til-Kazyna" Shaisultan Shayakhmetov.
Presentations were made by Adilbek Kaba, Alibek Askar, Tilol Tleshov, Tolkyn Salmenbayeva at an online meeting via the ZOOM platform. Chairman of the Committee on Language Policy Adilbek Kuneskhanovich expressed his opinion on future plans and expressed his readiness to assist in the implementation of any project.
Deputy Director of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tolkyn Turgalievna told about the life of the institution, the measures taken and the projects implemented, future plans.
"Several projects have been implemented in the Book Chamber on the initiative of Adil Kazenbayuly. Among them are the project "Smart Qalamger", which allowed members of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan to open their own website, and the ongoing dialogue project"Asyl soz". In addition, in support of writers engaged in children's creativity, we have announced a contest "The best children's creativity". A project is being implemented to create a " golden fund "of Kazakh children's literature," he said.
In turn, Adilbek Kuneskhanovich asked about the situation in the "press archive" of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan and expressed interest in providing the necessary assistance.
"The Book Chamber stores mandatory copies of the entire publication published throughout the country. It is necessary to pay attention to the issue of their digitalization. After all, paper does not live forever. We must adapt to the influence of time. We will try to provide all possible assistance, " the chairman said.
During the meeting, the director of the National Scientific and Practical Center "Til-Kazyna" Alibek Askar and the executive director of the Center Erol Tleshov shared news on the topic of the language problem, the Latin alphabet.
