Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Altynbek Nukhovich specially visited the national State Book Chamber, where he got acquainted with the work of the institution, the implementation of the state program "publication and distribution of socially significant literature", discussed a number of issues.

During the meeting, the director of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Adil Koytanov, spoke about the work of the institution, familiarized with the projects being implemented.

After getting acquainted with the staff and the work of the institution, Altynbek Nukhovich spoke about the importance and task of the Book Chamber and noted that he supports the projects that are being implemented.

"The National State Book Chamber is an institution of state significance. I am pleased with the current work of the institution that regulates the market of book business and publishing in the country, conducts monitoring. This is already visible and known to the public. This year, the institution has a very responsible task assigned to it. This is a preliminary selection of books submitted to the state program "publication and selection of socially significant literature". As we can see today, the work on the transfer of the state program to a new format and its implementation is at a high level. We are ready to study the issues of any institution and, if there are shortcomings and obstacles, bring them to the responsible authorities, " the people's deputy said.

Deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Altynbek Nukhovich got acquainted with the" Museum of rare books and publications", which opened in the Book Chamber on the eve of Independence Day last year. Having seen the works published at the end of the nineteenth century, he noted that it is necessary to pay special attention to the work on their promotion and preservation.

"We are currently working on organizing the 150th anniversary of Akhmet Baitursynov in 2022. We must promote these priceless things in you. We must translate the works written in the Chagatai language into Kazakh, into Cyrillic. Only then will the younger generation have the opportunity to get acquainted with the works of our glorious ancestors," he said.

The head of the institution told Altynbek Nukhovich that famous scientists are working on rare books, reviews have been written and research will continue in the future.
