The declaration by President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev of 2025 as the “Year of Working Professions” is still fresh in public memory. In this regard, the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan has organized a number of meaningful initiatives across the country. One of them is the competition “Erлік пен еңбек дастаны” (“The Epic of Heroism and Labor”).
The main purpose of this competition is to promote a positive public perception of the importance of working professions. It aims to popularize working people by encouraging literary works that reflect the dedication and love of ordinary workers for their professions, as well as the uniqueness of each occupation.
It must be acknowledged that in recent years, the status of true working people in society has somewhat declined. This competition is intended to foster respect for labor and enhance the prestige of skilled professions.
On the eve of May 21 — the Day of Cultural and Art Workers — alongside dozens of laborers, two employees of the National State Book Chamber of the Republic of Kazakhstan were also awarded apartment keys in recognition of their dedicated service.
One of them is Aizhan Muratkyzy, who has not only been working in this field for ten years but also continues the professional path of her mother, Banau Derbisalina, who served in this institution for 43 uninterrupted years. Koshanova Kuralay has also been working continuously in this organization for 18 years.
This is not only recognition of honest labor, but also a clear demonstration that words are being translated into action.
In this regard, we express our sincere gratitude to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev, on behalf of the staff.
