From February 18 to 21, 2021, the XXVIII International Book Fair was held in Minsk with the slogan "the book unites humanity and countries". More than twenty countries took an active part in the world-class book fair, one of which is the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As part of the book fair, a traditional symposium "the writer and time"was held. On behalf of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Prize laureate, Poet Bakytzhan Kanapyanov made a report.
"Kazakh-Belarusian literary relations have at least a century of history. Translations of modern Kazakh poets and writers into Belarusian and Russian are continuously published in Minsk. Among them are the works of Olzhas Suleimenov, Lyubov Shashkova, Svetlana Ananyeva, Nurdaulet Akysh and other authors. The works of Abai and Nemat Kelimbetov have been translated into Belarusian. I am sure that new projects will be implemented within the framework of relations based on cooperation between the two countries," he said.
Bakytzhan Musakhanovich took part in the online mode at the symposium within the framework of the international book fair in Minsk, visiting the building of the National State Book Chamber.
Bakytzhan Musakhanovich is a person who continuously publishes the literary almanac "Kazakhstan-Belarus". Therefore, no one doubts the weight of his name on the Belarusian land. Bakytzhan Kanapiyanov's report was presented at the symposium within the framework of the international book fair.
